Couples Therapy
I regularly offer couples therapy (relationship therapy) in English, especially for couples where one partner does not speak Dutch as their first language.
My own first language is Dutch, but I have a degree in English. I have experience guiding both individuals and couples in English-speaking sessions.

I understand that language and cultural differences can play a big role in relationships. By working in English, I aim to create more equality and balance, so both partners feel heard and understood.


Before the session
You’ll receive exercises to work on at home. These are designed to support self-discovery, reflection, and gentler, more effective communication.


During the session
Each session begins with your story. I provide an open, safe space where you can freely talk about what’s happening. Together we work on:

Recognizing and breaking unhelpful patterns in communication and behavior.

Learning to talk about thoughts, feelings, and emotions in a way that creates space and connection.

Rediscovering compassion and love for yourself and your partner, even in challenging times.
We don’t just look for insights, we also focus on practical steps that you can apply immediately in daily life.


After the session
Every session lasts about an hour, but there are 167 other hours in your week. That’s why I give you exercises to continue practicing at home, so that insights grow and the process truly becomes part of your everyday life.


Tailored process
I fully adapt the sessions to your unique situation and needs. Most couples need 6 to 8 sessions, starting with an intake session of 90 minutes. This gives us the time to explore what is going on in depth and set clear goals together
